Academic Writing in English: Online Editing Workshop for Early-Career Researchers on 4.12.2020

Dear doctoral student or early-career researcher in the field of translation studies,

Welcome to an online editing workshop where you can advance from your current level of academic writing. By participating in this collaborative workshop, you will:

·        Learn to self-edit your texts.

·        Receive peer feedback on your writing.

·        Have the opportunity to form ongoing editing groups with other participants.

·        Receive a diagnosis on your writing. This allows you to focus on three major aspects of academic writing, which will continue to improve your writing skills in the future.

The workshop is held in Zoom. It consists of an online lecture and practical step-by-step instructions on editing, a peer feedback exercise in which each participant receives feedback on their own texts (an unpublished sample), and a four-hour Zoom session, where participants discuss their writing in small groups, receive further advice, and are invited to pose questions to the instructor.
